Gregory Ralph Evigan was born to Ralph Milan Evigan and Barbara Elizabeth Evigan on the 14th of October, 1953 in South Amboy, New Jersey. He was born to an electrician father and a mother who was a homemaker.
Greg Evigan did most of his growing up in Sayreville where he attended high school at Sayreville War Memorial High School and graduated in 1971. He has maintained his connection to the school since graduation and was recognized for his career and accomplishments in 2007 when he was inducted into the school’s Alumni Hall of Fame.
Greg Evigan’s life as an actor can be said to have begun before high school, when he won his first critical acclaim for playing Cornelius Hackl in his school’s production of Hello Dolly. It was the beginning of Greg’s life as an actor. All evidence suggests that Greg Evigan never attended college because shortly after high school, he won a part in a Broadway play, Jesus Christ Superstar. The role furthered led him deeper into acting as he joined the cast of the musical, Grease and went on tour across the country.
After a number of years in the theatre, Greg Evigan made his first appearance on screen for Good Heavens where he played the character, Duane in an episode of the show. In the same year, he made two more appearances in The Six Million Dollar Man and his first film, Scorchy where he played the character, Alan.
For someone who has had over 100 credits across both film and television, he achieved most of them on the small screen, starring in several shows like Dallas, The Yellow Rose, Scene of the Crime and many more. He has been able to build a long filmography by making a considerable number of appearances in several projects every decade since he made his debut in 1976. Over the course of his career, he has played a few roles that have become the more notable roles in his career, such as his appearance as Jake Cardigan in the TekWar television film series, and also as Joey Harris in My Two Dads which he starred in between 1987 and 1990; he starred in a total of 60 episodes on the show. Between 1978 and 1981, he also starred as B.J McKay in 47 episodes of B.J and the Bear.
When it comes to the arts, it is common to find those whose interests lie beyond acting in front of the camera. Greg Evigan is not exempt from that phenomenon. He is a known composer, producer, and musician who has recorded and produced his own album in collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Greg has also worked with his son, Jason, who like his father is involved in the music business. The two have worked together to produce Mirror Image, a song on one of his albums.
