Hood began his musical career in 2007.
Later, Khaled asked Ace to do a freestyle of his song I’m So Hood from his second album, We The Best, and was later signed to his We The Best Music Group.
After signing with DJ Khaled’s label, Ace released his first album, Gutta, a huge success.
His second album Ruthless was released in 2009 and peaked at No. 5 on Billboard’s R&B albums chart.
After the success of his first and second albums, Hood confirmed that his third album would be called Blood Sweat & Tears and was released on August 9, 2011.
His first official single, Hustle Hard, made its way to the Top 60 of Billboard Top 100, which was huge for him.
Subsequently, in 2012, he started collaborating with Cash Records artist Bow Wow and did a song called We Going hard.
