Aew Kenny Omega Illness and Health 2023: Diagnosed with Diverticulitis Disease
In an episode of AEW Dynamite, fans were left puzzled by the unusual lethargy displayed by Kenny Omega during his promotional segment with his Golden Jets partner, Chris Jericho.
The 40-year-old professional wrestler later took to social media to shed light on his condition.
Through a post on platform X, Omega revealed that he had been grappling with pain and discomfort for some time and would be stepping away from the ring indefinitely.
Although he did not specify the nature of his ailment in the post, he shared a somewhat disconcerting image of himself with an IV line attached to his arm, indicating serious health concerns.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp subsequently reported that Omega, who also serves as an Executive Vice President at AEW, is suffering from diverticulitis.
According to Sapp, Omega had been feeling unwell prior to his match against Ethan Page on the latest episode of AEW Collision. He sought medical attention this week and was subsequently hospitalized.
