In August 2018, Mastrangelo criticized New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on the show, Fox and Friends, calling his recent comments (replying “[America] was never that great” to President Trump’s campaign slogan “Make America great again”) “asinine” and stating that as a descendant of Italian immigrants, Cuomo “should know better” than to make disparaging remarks about America.
Mastrangelo could be considered a “Top conservative on Twitter”, and notably the number of followers of her together with two of her fellow media spokesmen founder Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens of Turning Point USA grew, by far, the greatest percentage chance of any conservative group outside of government with followers already over 50,000 at the beginning of the year, 85% in Mastrangelo’s case, on a website known to be hostile to conservatives.
