Olga Anisimova & the late Konstantin Anisimov welcomed Amanda Anisimova into the world in Freehold Township, New Jersey. Maria, her older sister, attended Wharton’s undergraduate business school and competed in collegiate tennis for the University of Pennsylvania.
A few years before she was born, her parents moved from Russia to the United States in order to provide their elder daughter with better chances. They both worked in the banking and financial sectors, and neither of them grew up playing competitive tennis.
When she was a small child, her family relocated to Florida so that Amanda & her sister would have more opportunities to practice and network with other trainers.
