Carter and Austin married in June 2019. The wedding photos were for Q magazine. Also, it was the gorgeous Atlanta wedding by a queer village of vendors and venues. The couple was happily together for three years.
Austin may be supportive of Carter’s career. In her school days, she ranked number 21 by espnW.com. She was named a prospect nationally for the class of 2012. She later accepted a scholarship to play for the University of Tennesse Women’s Basketball Team.
At an early age, Carter admires Lady Vols and coach Pat Summitt. She was the last player to sing with American women’s college basketball head coach Summitt. In seasons 2012 to 13, the athlete played five games. Nonetheless, she faced injury again.
For the 2013–14 season, Carter was honored SEC All-Freshmen Team. After mounting injuries, she retired as a junior player and ended her career as a basketball player.
