Asari Dokubo Net Worth Before Arrest: Career Earning, Salary and Achievement
Asari Dokubo has decent career earnings, but the details regarding his salary remain unclear. Besides, Dokubo spent much of the 1990s trying to become involved in regional politics.
Furthermore, he even ran for two offices in Rivers State in 1992 and 1998 but failed to win either. In 1998, the Ijaw Youth Council was initiated, and Dokubo, as a founding member, was appointed to the vice-presidency of the organization.
On the other hand, Asari became the IYC’s president in 2001. Also, he led the group to follow a plan of Resource Control and Self Determination By Every Means Necessary.
By 2004, he had retreated from public view. Also, Asari would go on to create the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force. The group was largely funded by local and regional politicians who aimed for great profits from the region’s oil revenue.
As part of Yar’adua amnesty incentives to stop terrorist movements in the Niger Delta, the federal government granted massive cash rewards to Dokubo and other terror leaders of the Niger Delta.
It has been reported that Asari acquired an annual cash of US$10 million a year from Abuja.
