Astrid Menks is an American philanthropist but Latvian by birth, who is known as the second wife of a multi-billionaire husband, Warren Buffet. She relocated to the USA to pursue her proverbial American vision and formerly worked as a cocktail waitress at a French Café in the 1970s, which was an upscale night club.
Astrid took over the charity foundations that Susan Buffet, Warren’s first wife, had been running that were under the name of her husband. She is also well known as an antique collector, involved in her own charity works and contributes to the local zoo.
