Billy Mcfarland Wife and Net Worth: Is He Released from Prison Now?
After spending less than four years of a six-year term connected to his catastrophic 2017 Caribbean getaway, Billy McFarland, the fraudster behind the ill-fated Fyre Festival, was released this March.
According to TMZ, McFarland was freed on March 30 and sent to community detention, where he was slated to remain until August.
McFarland was scheduled to remain in jail until August 2023, but his attorneys have been battling for his release since 2020.
In 2018, the producer of the disastrous 2017 Fyre Festival, which isolated hundreds of people on an island without food, shelter, or water, was sentenced to six years in prison.
