On November 17, 1981, Bojana Novakovic was born inBelgrade, Serbia, Yugoslavia. This is where she lived with her parents, Radovan Novakovic and Biljana Novakovic until she was 7 years old when the family moved to Australia. She has a sister, Valentina Novakovic, who is also an actress. Young Novakovic appeared in several films, including Deadly Exchange (2017) and Kerion (2014).
As pointed out, acting was not her first love but she then decided to go for it and later found fulfillment there. In 1999, she entered the McDonald School of McDonald College where she was a student at the highest rank, Dux. From there, Bojana Novakovic earned a bachelor’s degree in drama from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2002.
The actress started acting in Australia in the 90s with one of her works being the TV series Fun House (1994) while one of her first films became Black Rock was released in 1997. In 1998 Bojana took part in Fits of Passion while in 1999 she had a role in Monkey Mask
In the years that followed, she worked on many other movies, TV movies and TV series, including Marking Time (2003), Anything Goes (2004), The King is Dead and Not Suitable for Children (both in 2012), and Shameless (2015). His most recent works are Me, Tonya (2017), Beyond the Horizon (2017), Malicious (2018) and the CBS television series Instinct which has been on since 2018.
For her roles in different movies and TV shows, the Serbian-born actress has been recognized with a number of nominations and an award. In 2001, at the Australian Film Institute Awards, Bojana Novakovic won Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Television Drama or Comedy for her role in Marking Time (2003).
More so, Bojana has her independent theater company in Sydney and Melbourne known as Ride on Theatre. She runs with Tanya Goldberg. The theater has worked on many productions which have been acclaimed including The Mary MacLane Story which was written by Mary MacLane.
