Brette Wolff: Facts on Adam Ottavino Wife and High School Sweetheart
Ottavino experienced what is widely considered to be the worst season of his career in the year 2020. He made a total of 24 appearances in relief and finished with a record of 2-3 with a 5.89 ERA.
On the other hand, the season of 2020 was a peculiar one. The COVID-19 epidemic caused the start of the regular season to be delayed until late July, and clubs only played 60 games instead of the typical 102 games that are scheduled for the regular season.
Chaim Bloom, the chief baseball officer for the Red Sox, did not let Ottavino’s performance in 2020 discourage him, and there is a chance that he has a legitimate reason not to be discouraged.
With an earned run average that was the greatest of his career, Ottavino had possibly the most successful season of his career in 2019.
