Buffy Lawson has the new act to come out of Wrinkled Records, a new Nashville label that is making ripples in the music industry. Headed up by the Grammy-nominated songwriter Sandy Knox and former major label executive Katie Gillon, Wrinkled Records is staking a claim for itself as a new, proud voice in modern music geared towards the over-40 crowd. The label will release pop icon BJ Thomas’s new album in 2013 and achieved huge success with Etta Britt’s debut solo record. The release nabbed the 55-year-old blues singer an opening spot on the Delbert McClinton tour as well as a headline story in The Huffington Post and a feature on The Today Show. Buffy Lawson is next in line in the Wrinkled roster and she is set to make shock waves of her own.
