Perez was born to Shawne Lanee Perez and Albert Louie Perez Jr. His father was a musician, Chance revealed that his father used to sing to him when he was growing up. Unfortunately, his dad passed away while he was at the age of eight. He died of kidney cancer. Following his father’s death, the family faced a number of great challenges.
