Does Josh Giddey Have a Girlfriend? Aussie Basketball Player Amazes in Nba Show
Giddey of the Adelaide 36ers became the first Australian and the youngest player in NBL history to record a triple-double. With 15 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds in a 101–79 win over the Brisbane Bullets on May 1, he became the first Australian to score triple-doubles in consecutive games.
After averaging 10.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game in 28 games, he was named the league’s Rookie of the Year. He was dismissed from the active roster in May to prepare for the NBA draft in 2021.
Giddey declared for the 2021 NBA draft on April 27, 2021, and was expected to be a lottery pick. On July 29, he was selected as the Oklahoma City Thunder’s sixth overall choice, and on August 8, he signed a contract with the team.
He injured his ankle five minutes into his NBA Summer League debut the same day and was declared out for the rest of the competition as a precaution. The star made his NBA debut on October 20, scoring four points, grabbing ten rebounds, and dishing out three assists in a 107–86 loss to the Utah Jazz.
