Does Max from ‘Parenthood’ Have Aspergers in Real Life? Is He Really Autistic?
The popular American-based actor Max Burkholder from Parenthood is well known for his role as an autistic child in the show. However, quickly after NBC premiered its show Parenthood, viewers were quick to find out that it has Asperger’s syndrome.
The actor who showcased the life of an autistic child is someone who is actually dealing with the mild form of autism, Asperger’s syndrome. As a child artist, when he got the role, he didn’t even know about Asperger’s.
Jason Katims, the creator of the show Parenthood, who himself has a son with autism spectrum, said, “While not all parents are dealing with autism or Asperger’s, what I do find is all parents are dealing with something with their kids.” The show also claims that much of its story is based on real-life events.
The kind and growing actor, Max, has grown a lot, worked in different movies and even debuted his wonderful voice in some of the animated series. The generous actor is one of the best examples to prove the people who carry misconceptions about autism wrong.
