Fans Recognize Ally Sheedy as Airport Lady in Home Alone 2
Ally Sheedy plays Pam Block, the Laguardia Aiport ticketing agent in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.
Home Alone 2 follows Kevin Mccallister, played by young Macaulay Culkin, on his way to Miami with his family when he gets separated after accidentally boarding a flight to New York City.
Ally as Pam Block, the ever-serious blonde ticketing agent at Laguardia airport, is the first person Kevin talks to after accidentally landing in New York City
Ally, who has appeared with raven hair previously, was seen donning a blonde bob in Home Alone 2. That might be why the fans had a hard time spotting her in the movie.
Also, she had merely a 30-second screen time with only three dialogues with a total of 9 words in the movie.
Ally Sheedy’s Acting Career dropped after the 1980’s
The actress who had given 80’s major hits, The Breakfast Club and St Elmo’s Fire, with co-stars Judd Nelson and Emilio Estevez playing such an expendable role in Home Alone certainly raised questions among the fans.
Ally, who made her acting in Bad Boys starring alongside Sean Penn, Esai Morales, and Clancy Brown, couldn’t sustain herself in the film industry after her peak in the mid-1980s.
Ally stayed away from acting for nearly two decades except for the indie drama, High Art, playing a drug-addicted photographer for which she drew experience from her struggles with substance abuse.
However, Ally made her comeback in 2022 as an actor in the television series, Single Drunk Female, as Carol Fink, a character with a daughter on a journey to sobriety.
Sheedy has also taken other roles in life in last decade. She is a professor in the theater department at City College of New York and a book editor.
