Gail Russell Obituary and Cause of Death Explored
The American actress Gail Russell’s cause of death, is uncovered as liver damage ascribed to acute and chronic alcoholism along with the aspiration of stomach contents as an additional cause.
On top of that, the actress was also discovered to have been suffering from malnutrition. Gail was reportedly buried in Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in North Hollywood.
Plagued for years by a drinking problem, she was discovered dead in her Westwood home. The actress was found with an empty vodka bottle by her side on the living room floor, where Russell had fallen from the couch.
Described as a perfectionist in movie works, she never overcame her shyness. Russell would get up and walk out of a room amidst an interview if a question embarrassed her, said some reporters.
Everything major in her life happened so fast from her going to high school, and the next thing she was being groomed for a picture overwhelmed her sometimes.
‘There was this terrific mountain of work and no time to catch up with me. It was that way for ten years; always a sense of pressure, no time to relax, to take stock.” Russell stated, her heart out.
Furthermore, the pressures of fame and the fact that Paramount didn’t renew her contract led her to get more into alcoholism. Russell lost her life due to her drinking habits.
