She was born in Bath, Somerset, England, on August 7, 1978, to a British father and Jamaican mother. Although there are hardly any known details about her early childhood or education, we know she spent the most part of her early life in Europe and later moved to America to pursue a career in the arts as a teenager. As Osborne recounts, she didn’t settle quite well in her new environment and found it tasking to fit into the liberal American society, especially when all she had known was the conservative British setting.
