Haley Jones Parents Patrick and Monique Jones Were Both Basketball Players
Haley Jones has basketball in her blood. Her dad, Patrick, played basketball at Colorado College in his youth.
Growing up, Haley spent much of her childhood courtside. After finishing her homework, she’d listed in on the guidance doled out in practice.
Her dad also served as head coach at Santa Cruz High School for seventeen years. Jones was the varsity boys’ basketball coach for two seasons (2012 to 2014).
Throughout his coaching career, Patrick guided the Cardinals” boys varsity squad to a 19-9 overall record. Also, he helped the team to reach its second consecutive participation in the NorCal playoffs.
In the 2014 season, Santa Cruz was chosen to compete in the CCS Open Division after winning the SCCAL championship, and Jone received the SCCAL Coach of the Year award.
