The 83-year-old Michael Hill was born into a family of Jewellers. He was born to his parents in Whangarei on 23 December 1938.
Michael Hill has a sibling. He has uploaded a post with his sister and mother captioning, “My beautiful Mumma.”
He has mentioned his mother as the one who was selfless and kept him and his sister first and reared and cared for them. His mother taught him what strong women are capable of.
Previously, Michael was not fascinated by his family business and had tried other professions; however, an incident changed his perception.
On 1 October 1977, the house that had taken the Hill family four years to build was destroyed in a fire. After which, he set the goal to be a Jeweller and has been successful too.
