How Long Did It Take to Film Squid Game: the Challenge?
According to reports, it took 16 days to film Squid Game: The Challenge. Managing all the players and changing sets repeatedly, we are pretty sure the creators didn’t have an easy time filming the challenge.
After all, you have to focus on 456 players competing in different challenges throughout the show. Also, let’s not forget that they also film individual interviews of many contestants if not all. From changing sets to the elimination process, the filming crew certainly must have had a hard time. Analyzing all of the process, we wouldn’t be surprised if it had taken a whole month to finish the filming.
To have a clear idea, 24-year-old Dani Templet, player 134, recently revealed in an interview that it took 6 to 7 hours just to film the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ scene. She explained,
In the final cut, they make it seem like we did the game in five minutes. We were there for at least six to seven exhausting hours. I remember I didn’t finish filming until 1 a.m. the next day.
Talking about the same scene, another contestant, player 107 (Rayo) said that they took 20-30 minutes just to finish a scene every time the doll turned. He said,
The physical pain was there, I knew like this is horrendous, but mentally, you just have to battle and push through.
In conclusion, we can say Squid Game: The Challenge was equally challenging for both the filming crew and the players.
