After he rejected Timberwolves’ offer, he never played in the NBA again. During his final season with them, he only managed to average 12.8 points per game.
Soon after, he defaulted on his $1.5 million mortgage, had his yacht, “Milwaukee’s Best,” repossessed, and had Milwaukee go after him for $3 million in back taxes. He also got sued by his long-term partner for $200 million on claims of him ending their relationship agreement. According to her, the former player had agreed to support her and their four children through college but failed to do so.
Due to all this, the former player who had earned about $100 million, now has a net worth of about $500 thousand and lives in a modest rented house in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The former player had also drawn a lot of attention to his financial status in 2021 when he set up a GoFundMe account asking for $35,000 for his granddaughter who was sick and suffering from Leukemia. The GoFundMe link disappeared quickly after it was posted and the reason for it is still unknown.
