Is Burt Bacharach Sick or Hospitalized? Illness and Health Update

Despite his dislike of classical piano lessons, Bacharach developed a strong interest in jazz as a teenager and frequently used a fake ID to gain entry into 52nd Street nightclubs.

He was exposed to bebop musicians like Dizzy Gillespie and Count Basie, whose styles later influenced his songwriting. 

Bacharach received his Bachelor of Music degree in 1948 from McGill University in Montreal, where he studied music with Helmut Blume.

During this time, he studied different musical styles, including jazz harmony, which has since become important in songs classified as pop music.
