Karen Clifton and her ex-partner Kevin Cliffton were in a romantic relationship, so they eloped in 2015.
The pair had been previously married to other people. For Karen, it was her second marriage, whereas, for Kevin, it was his third marriage.
They first met in 2011 when they performed at the live dancing show “Burn The Floor.”
Per Kevin, Karen has all the characteristics he has been looking for in a woman. When he was with Karen, he used to go on a different level to impress her. Kevin had proposed to her on stage during a performance on the live dance show.
During an interview, Karen stated that, in her opinion, they were not ready to get married at that moment. They were still growing as a lover, a performer, and people. In 2016, their relationship started to go downhill.
Their Divorce
The pair had ended their relationship after being married for three years; they confirmed their divorce in 2018. Their marriage went downhill overnight, and Karen was jealous that her husband was not giving any attention to her.
When talking with The Divorce Club podcast, Karen mentioned that it took a year for her to let go of Kevin after their split. She had connected with her partner on a different level than in her previous marriage with Matthew Hauer.
After their divorce, she went through emotional pain, but it made her stronger, and she realized what she had to work on. Even after their split, they continued to work together in “Strictly Come Dancing” before Kenvin’s exit from the show in 2020.

He grew up in Waltham, Grimsby, England, with his parents, Judy and Keith Clifton. Kevin got his dance lessons from his parents as they were World Champions. He competed internationally and nationally by partnering with his sister Joanne.
