Between 2009 to 2011, the pair were spotted in different locations. They were pretty open about their relationship.
According to BMI, deadmau5 met Evans when he served as house DJ at the 2010 MTV VMAs. Back then, Evans was a Playboy model.
However, both were at the initial stage of their respective career and got separated to make names for themselves.
On September 15, 2011, Deadmau5 officially announced that he and Evans are splitting by mutual decision. He posted on his official Facebook timeline writing: “@TheLindseyGayle and I have agreed to go our separate ways. I’m gonna miss her, but it’s for the best.”
He also wrote: “We’ve had an amazing fun year together, but it’s time that we both each focus on our careers. So glad to still have her as one of my best friends.”
Despite their breakup, the pair remained good friends in the end. Moreover, they respect each other’s current love life.
