Jake Rudock Biography, Height, Weight, Body Stats, Family, Other Facts
In 2016, Rudock was selected by the Detroit Lions in the 6th round (191st overall) of the NFL Draft. In September, he was transferred to the training squad where he remained until November. He hasn’t made any appearances in his rookie season since becoming the third quarterback behind Dan Orlovsky and Matthew Stafford. After the 2016 season, Rudock started serving as Stafford’s replacement as Orlovsky was not re-signed.
Team officials drafted Brad Kaaya from the University of Miami in the 2017 NFL Draft to compete for Rudock’s preseason position. As expected, Jakes won the backup job and attempted his first NFL pass in the game against the Baltimore Ravens.
