Jamal Musiala began his football career at the youth level with Chelsea. He left Chelsea at the age if 16 to join the German club Bayern Munich. He made his Bundesliga debut in a match against SC Freiburg on June 20, 2020.
He made his breakthrough after scoring his first goal for Bayern Munich in a 8-0 against Schalke 04, on September 19, 2020. He signed his first professional contract with the club on March 5, 2021, until 2026.
Musiala who was eligible to play for Nigeria, England and Germany, choose to represent England at the Under17 and Under-21 levels. He decided to represent his birth nation, Germany at the senior level. He was called up to the German national team for the FIFA World Cup qualifier in march 2021. He made his debut in a 3-0 win against Iceland, where he came on as a substitute at the 79th minute.
He was called-up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on November 10, 2022. He became the first German teenager to feature in the competition since 1958, after making his debut ina 2-1 loss to Japan.
