Rober Redford was married to Lola Van Wagenen.  In 1958, Lola dropped out of college to exchange the vows with the actor, at her grandmother’s home.

Lola is a historian and environmental activist. The pair eventually divorced in 1985. However, after the split with his first wife, he got married to his longtime partner Sibylle Szaggars in 2009 in Hamburg.

Robert and Lola share four children – two boys and two girls(Scott, Shauna, David, and James). Their first child, Scott Anthony passed away at just two and a half months old in 1959.

Likewise, their son James passed away on October 17, 2020, after a long battle with liver cancer. Robert and Lola’s youngest Amy Hart was born on October 22, 1970, and is an actress, director, and producer like her father.

Further, Robert also has seven grandchildren.
