This September, Markus celebrated his 36th birthday in 2021, born in Finland on the 16th of September, 1985. Like many children in Finland, he was interested in playing soccer from a minimum age.

In 2004, a 19-year-old Markus began his professional career as a soccer player when he joined the Ilves U19 team, where he later got promoted to the first team. And in 2009, he transferred to Tampereen Pallo-Veikot, where he spent the rest of his career before retirement. 

Markus now enjoys a comfortable retired life with his wife, Sanna Marin. He constantly reposts photos of her on social media supporting his wife’s political involvements.
