Jacob Stallings was born in 1989 to Kevin Stallings and Lisa Stallings.
Kevin and Lisa have been married for over 30 years after meeting at Purdue University.
Kevin graduated from Collinsville High School in Collinsville, Illinois, in 1978, where he played guard for four years and won three conference championships under legendary coach Vergil Fletcher.
In 1982, he completed a bachelor’s degree in business management from Purdue University and, as well as a master’s degree in counseling in 1984, both from the same university.
Kevin began coaching after college, with his most recent position being at the University of Pittsburgh.
Kevin Stallings started as an assistant coach at Purdue under Gene Keady after graduating in 1982. From 1982 to 1988, Purdue had a 140–44 record winning three Big Ten Championships and making the NCAA Tournament every year.
Kevin was announced as the new head basketball coach at the University of Pittsburgh on March 27, 2016.
Kevin enrolled at Purdue University after a brief year at Belleville Area College and played there for three years. Lee Rose led the Boilermakers to a 27–8 record and an NCAA Final Four appearance in his debut season.
Purdue reached the NIT Final Four in both Stallings’ junior and senior seasons and Gene Keady’s first two seasons as head coach.
Kevin appeared in 17 games as a senior, averaging 4.3 points and 2.6 assists per game.
