Price was an investment banker for a year before she decided to pursue acting as a profession. She began her acting career in the early 1990s making her television debut in an episode of Quantum Leap in 1993.
Price has guest starred in many television shows such as Saved by the Bell: The New Class, Renegade, The Drew Carey Show, Will & Grace, and Drop Dead Diva.
In 1996 she had her first regular role in the short-lived ABC comedy series Common Law alongside Greg Giraldo. She was the lead actress in another short-lived sitcom called Lateline on NBC (1998 – 1999).
