Mike Taibbi: Who Is Matt Taibbi’s Father?
Mike Taibbi, an NBC television reporter, and his wife gave birth to Taibbi in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1970.
Contrary to popular belief, Taibbi is of Irish and Filipino origin rather than Arab. He was raised in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. However, his father, who is partially of Filipino-Hawaiian ancestry, was adopted as a youngster by a Sicilian-American couple who had the surname. Matt claims that his last name Taibbi is a Sicilian name of Lebanese or Arabic origin.
