Born and brought up in Los Angeles, California, Neil Jason Wharton is the son of American musician Vincent Neil Wharton and his partner, Tammi Frisk.
His father is a venerated hard rock singer-songwriter and musician best acknowledged as heavy metal band Motley Crue’s lead vocalist.
Inspired by his father to become a rock singer, Neil formed his own music band called Rock ‘n’ Roll junkies and continued to play at local venues and shows.
Through the music performance he puts on stages, Wharton has also been benefitting the Skylar Neil Memorial Foundation which was created in honor of his half-sister Skylar who passed away from cancer.
Apart from Skylar, he has yet another half-sister Elizabeth Ashley Wharton from his dad’s previous relationship with Beth Lynn.
