Q&A: Who Is Dr Ashish Jha’s Wife, Debra Stump? His Perspective on Omicron, New Covid Concern

Dr. Ashish Jha is of Indian descent, having been born to Indian parents.

Bron’s real name is Ashish Kumar. Jha is plain of Indian ancestry, having been born in Pursaulia, Madhubani, Bihar, India.  His family moved to Toronto, Canada, in 1979, and subsequently to the United States in 1983.

Jha graduated from Boonton High School in Boonton, New Jersey, as valedictorian and went on to Columbia University. In 1992, he graduated from there and then went on to received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 1997.

In March of 2020, Jha was chosen the third dean of Brown University’s School of Public Health. He was appointed to the job in September of 2020.
