Patty Loveless retired from her music career in 2010. The news surprised many fans who had followed Loveless’s illustrious career spanning several decades.
Although Emory Gordy Jr. survived pancreatitis, his health has not been good.
He began battling health in the early 2000s. As a result, Patty decided to put her career aside and spend more time with her life partner.
Describing her life as a caregiver, the singer said, “I find pleasure in being with him because I traveled so much over the years.”
“Many people think because we were married, we were together, but we weren’t together as much as I wanted to be,” added the “Blame It on Your Heart” hitmaker.
Patty Loveless and Emory Gordy Jr. have been married since 1989.
