Thirty years after the Ruby Ridge incident, Sara Weaver, now 46, says that she struggled with depression and post-traumatic stress disorder for a decade.
However, Sara learnt to forgive the U.S marshalls who took the life of her mother and only brother.
“I went 10 years without understanding how to heal” until becoming a born-again Christian, she said. “All bitterness and anger had to go,” she said. “I forgave those that pulled the trigger.”
The Weavers live near Kalispell, Mont., a city in the northwestern part of the state that doubles as the entrance to Glacier National Park, located more than 100 miles east of Ruby Ridge.
