Hunky Australian actor Travis is the son of Jennie Fimmel and Chris Fimmel. The last child in a family of three, Travis was born near Echuca, Victoria on July 15, 1979. His father, Chris, is a cattle rancher while his mother, Jennie, is a recreation manager for people with disabilities. Growing up, Travis’ only ambition was to become a professional footballer. His passion for rules football saw him move to Melbourne in his late teens to play for St Kilda Football Club in the AFL.
However, his quest to fulfill his childhood dream came crashing down like a game of cards just before the start of the season as he suffered a serious leg injury that left him devastated and embittered.
Travis had his primary and secondary school education in his birthplace. Upon finishing high school, he enrolled at RMIT University in Melbourne where he majored in commercial architecture and engineering. He moved to England shortly after graduation. It was while working as a bartender in London that he was discovered by a modeling agent.
