Who Is Taylor Rapp? Details to Know About His Ethnicity and Nationality
In Atlanta, Georgia, Rapp was born to Chiyan Rapp, a Chinese mother, and Chris Rapp, a Caucasian Canadian father.
He grew up in Bellingham, Washington, and attended Sehome High School there.
He became close to Chiyan’s parents, who relocated to Atlanta and later Bellingham with the Rapp family.
While Chris and Chiyan worked, they assisted in the upbringing of Taylor and Austin.
He learned enough Mandarin to have a conversation in it, while his grandparents’ desire to learn English made total proficiency difficult.
They told Taylor and Austin stories in both Chinese and English about their experiences during the Cultural Revolution and the Communist takeover of China in the 1960s and 1970s. “They had such a difficult time,” he remarked.
It was a developing bond between grandparents and grandkids based on ethnic pride and the boys’ yearning to embrace their Chinese heritage fully. Taylor, on the other hand, didn’t always have it so easy.
