Where Is Colin Kaepernick Now? Fans Are Wondering When He Retired and What He Is Doing Currently
Colin Kaepernick has not played in the NFL since 2016, but he has not declared retirement, as it would effectively kill his chances of returning to the league he once ruled.
Since the 2016 season, Kaepernick has been a free agent, and teams have shown little interest in signing the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback.
In 2019, the NFL scheduled a workout for him, but it merely served as a distraction.
Kaepernick, the first player to kneel during the national anthem, is the only player who has been unable to find work in the NFL following the protests.
Others that followed in their footsteps are still active in the league. In terms of activism, Kaepernick is nearly at a different level at this time.
