According to Thenewsstar, Quinton Tellis is being held at the Ouachita Correctional Center following his failed trial.

Quinton pled guilty in May 2016 to one count of unlawful use of Ming-access Chen’s card and was sentenced to ten years in prison as a persistent offender.

However, he quickly filed an appeal for a retrial. Tellis returned to Louisiana following the second mistrial in the Chambers case. He is still being held at the Ouachita Correctional Center.

He was facing one pending capital murder charge connected to the December 2014 burning death of Jessica Chambers, 19, in Panola County, Mississippi.

Quinton Tellis’ DNA was obtained from Jessica’s vehicle. Quinton’s fingerprint was found on her car keys, which proved enough evidence for a grand jury to indict him on capital murder charges in February 2016.
