Where Is Shamsa Bint Suhail Al Mazrouei Now? More on Sheikh Khalifa Wife
Sheikh Khalifa Wife Shamsa bint Suhail Al Mazrouei now mourns her husband’s death in UAE. The ex-president and supreme commander of the country died at 73.
The ministry of presidential affairs declared 40 days of mourning, with flags flying at half-mast and public and private sector work suspended for the first three days.
In November 2004, Sheikh Khalifa became the UAE’s second president, succeeding his father as Abu Dhabi’s 16th ruler.
During his first decade in power, he presided over a significant restructuring of the federal and Abu Dhabi governments.
He was rarely seen in public after his stroke, though he continued to issue rulings. Khalifa was described as “a true partner and friend of the United States” by US President Joe Biden.
Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Hassa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan are the parents of Sheikh Khalifa.
Sultan, Mohammed, Shamma, Salama, Osha, Sheikha, Lateefa, and Mouza were his eight children with Shamsa bint Suhail Al Mazrouei.
