The Tigers trounced the Bulldogs 49-3 and will attempt to defeat ACC foe Georgia Tech on September 18. In his limited play on Saturday, defensive tackle Bryan Bresee recorded two tackles, bringing his season total to eight. Despite only being a sophomore, he leads the defense and is one of its most well-known players.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound preseason All-American added, “The defense has performed extremely well overall. “Every week, we all arrive with great attitudes and ready to face the week with a new strategy. So let’s simply start watching movies and learning about our weekly strategy. Everyone has done a great job taking on, completing, and maintaining that task each week.”
The Tigers’ offense was ranked 99th, and their passing game is 73rd, while their defense is ranked 13th nationwide and has yet to surrender a score. D.J. Uiagalelei, the team’s starting quarterback, has only completed 54.1 percent of his passes in 61 attempts with one score. His supporter wondered what was wrong with D.J. because of his lackluster numbers.
Being housemates and close friends, Bresee was asked how he keeps Uiagalelei’s self-confidence high.
