Dustin Johnson turned professional in late 2007 and finished in a tie for 14th place at the 2007 qualifying school in December to earn his 2008 PGA Tour card.
Johnson won his first PGA Tour tournament, the Turning Stone Resort Championship, in upstate New York, near the close of his rookie season in October 2008.
Four months later after the final round was delayed due to high winds and rain, he won his second event, the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
The golfer won by four strokes over Mike Weir and five strokes over Retief Goosen, the second-round leader who shot a third-round 74.
