Daniel Sotelo is a 26-year-old American native who studied at the University of Illinois in Chicago for his undergraduate degree. He is a young, lively, and attractive student.
As a result, the 26-year-old was just days away from receiving his master’s degree from UIC. He vanished after being dropped off at a CTA station in the South Loop on April 30.
Natally Brookson, his 22-year-old girlfriend, went missing the same day. On May 2, her body was discovered floating in Lake Michigan near Bryn Mawr.
On Saturday, officials confirmed that a body found in Lake Michigan last week was that of Daniel Sotelo, one of two missing University of Illinois-Chicago students.
Sotelo, who was 26, had been missing since April 30. On May 22, his remains were recovered from Lake Michigan near Wilmette.
Natally Brookson, his lover, was found dead on May 2 near Bryn Mawr and Lake Michigan in Chicago. She’d been gone since April 30 as well. She was a psychology honors student at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
