Laura Lee Day aka Laura Lee Feist, the stepmom from South Texas, is the woman who is also tied to the 1982 Laguna Beach Killing.
When Day was 17 years old, she shot her 21-year-old boyfriend after he wanted a breakup with her. She was found guilty of second-degree murder and was sentenced to time in the California Youth Facility. She was released in 1990.
After her release, Day was also convicted of bigamy by marrying a man while she was married to another.
In 1996, she called herself Laura Lee Bush and was convicted of insurance fraud. She was blamed for burning her car and forcefully collecting the cash.
Fast forward to 2012, Day was convicted guilty of murdering her 6-year-old stepson on a beach in Corpus Christi, Texas, 2012. According to the prosecution, Day was envious of Taylor’s mother and had permitted him to go surfing without a life jacket.
