Who Is Tamiko Bolton – George Soros’ Wife and What Is Her Age?
Becoming the wife of George Soros was definitely a new chapter of Tamiko Bolton’s life. George Soros became known as ‘The Man Who Broke the Bank of England’ following his historic trade practices where he took on the Bank of England and bet on the devaluation of the British pound. His fame and fortune grew from then on, putting him on par with some of the world’s richest men.
Tamiko Bolton is George Soros’ third wife. The two were said to have met at a dinner party in 2008. George Soros proposed to Tamiko in mid-2012 while they were at a weekend visit to the Hamptons. The engagement of the then 42-year-old Tamiko Bolton to the 83-year-old George Soros was announced at his summer home in Southampton, New York by August 2012.
The two got married in September 2013 in a little ceremony at Soros Bedford, New York, estate. A number of prominent guests were among the 500 invited wedding guests that included both immediate family members and foreign dignitaries. The couple hosted a reception at the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts and another for 300 guests at the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan.
The couple’s love story was not all rosy. Tamiko Bolton who seems to favor keeping a low profile was dragged into a legal battle in 2011 by Adriana Ferreyr, a former partner of George Soros who was a former Brazilian soap opera star. She alleged in the filed $50 million lawsuits against Soros that he had promised her the $1.9 million Manhattan apartment that he had passed on to Tamiko. To achieve her preferred end, she began slandering Tamiko to the board of the building and later on, to lawyers. It was such a heated period that Ferreyr even physically attacked Soros and his lawyers during the hearing of the lawsuit. George Soros filed a motion that is still pending to have the lawsuit dismissed.
