Who Is White Sox Dave from Barstool Sports; Is He Fired After Viral John Cusack Confrontation Video?
It’s not confirmed if Barstool Sports, White Sox Dave’s employer, has fired him or not after the recent confrontational video with actor John Cusack.
Dave found Cusack outside of Guaranteed Rate Field and confronted the actor for being a bandwagoner.
Cusack has previously been spotted cheering on the Cubs and White Sox.
The actor’s justification is that he starred in the film Eight Men Out, about the Chicago White Sox, which should allow him to defy sports fan convention and support for both teams.
On Twitter, John Cusack claimed that he was assaulted by Chicago police while shooting protests in the city.
He’s been photographing the Chicago protests that occurred after Minneapolis man George Floyd died in police custody.
Cusack claimed on Twitter that since cops didn’t appreciate him recording the flaming automobile, they attacked him with batons and began hitting his bike.
John’s video doesn’t show the event, but the audio from it shows him being yelled at to go ahead by an unknown assailant. The sound of metal being smashed follows.
