Who Is Zahar Navalny? Meet the Son of Alexei Navalny on Instagram
Zahar Navalny has yet to add his biography on the official Wikipedia page.
His father, Alexei, was sentenced to a suspended sentence for embezzlement in July 2013.
Despite this, he was allowed to run for mayor of Moscow in 2013 and finished second with 27% of the vote, surpassing predictions but losing to incumbent mayor Sergey Sobyanin, a Putin appointment.
He was sentenced to another suspended sentence for embezzlement in December 2014. Both of his criminal prosecutions were largely regarded as politically motivated attempts to prevent him from standing for office in the future.
