Why Joey Fournier Killed His Ex Girlfriend Cynthia Berry? Case Update & Hearing
The US Marshals Service said a construction worker wanted in connection with the death of his former girlfriend in Macon’s Barrington Hall area was brought into custody Tuesday.
Joey Fournier, 50, was caught in northwest Georgia near Rome on a murder warrant in the killing of Cynthia “Cindy” Berry, according to Deputy U.S. Marshal John Edgar of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
With the help of Bibb County sheriff’s officers, the task team tracked down Fournier, who lives along Lamar Road west of Lake Wildwood.
Berry’s father discovered her dead inside her Barrington Hall house off Winchester Place at 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Brianna, Cynthia’s daughter, told 13WMAZ that her mother had moved into the house to start a fresh life away from a violent ex-boyfriend.
In May, she would have turned 50. “She was simply the greatest woman you’ll ever meet,” Brianna said. “I think what I wanted to say was, with Mother’s Day approaching, whatever you’ve got going on with your parents, just hug them near.”
