Meet Colin Kaepernick Parents- Teresa and Rick Kaepernick, Siblings and Family
Colin Kaepernick was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on November 3, 1987. Colin was adopted as a five-week-old by Rick Kaepernick and Teresa Kaepernick, a white couple.
He has a brother, Kyle, and a sister, Devon, and spent his early childhood in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, before relocating with his family to Turlock, California, at the age of four.
He attended John H. Pitman High School and, in his senior year, was nominated All-State in football, basketball, and baseball, in addition to being a 4.0 GPA student. He graduated in 2006.
Kaepernick’s biological mother, Heidi Russo, was a 19-year-old white girl who was single and impoverished when she put him up for adoption.
